February SaddleBrooke Republican Club General Meeting!

The magic word was – “Joe Arpaio” – no sooner was it echoed and over 500 Republicans filled the Mountain View Country Club East Ballroom to welcome the famous sheriff who has thrown his hat in the ring as a candidate for the open Senate seat in the 2018 election.

In response to Sheriff Joe’s powerful rhetoric the crowd rose to their feet in standing ovations over and over again. He shared a personal story about President Trump which touched the hearts of his audience. When Sheriff Joe’s wife was diagnosed with cancer recently President Trump called her to express his concerns and deliver his well wishes for her speedy recovery. From the early stages of then candidate Trump’s run for President, Joe Arpaio has been an avid supporter. During his speech to the SaddleBrooke Republican Club, the sheriff demonstrated knowledge of current political issues and stressed his belief that if elected he would be a strong voice in Washington for the conservative Republican principles. Much to the delight of his audience his rhetoric was peppered with his low keyed but hard hitting humor. KGUN 9 TV sent reporters to cover the meeting and live streamed portions of it on their evening news. The Washington Post featured Sheriff Joe’s visit to the SaddleBrooke Republican Club in a lengthy article in their publication.

The Making of the “Great American Story” Rivas Film

Once the basic story was created, Neil and Richard reviewed the film, making several suggestions for improvement. Ken continued refining the film until he thought he had it where he wanted. At that point, Jorge and Betty Rivas, and their sons, were invited to review the film with us.

With Betty in tears of gratitude, the family approved the film.

This film was a product of love . . .of family, of country. No one was paid to do this film. There was no talk of contracts, of copyrights, or of ownership. The film was completed because it was the right thing to do. Ken Gorman deserves praise for the selfless time and effort he expended on the film.
